 Hi,
I  am  planning  to  redo  my  3  footer  to  keep  a  few  species  of  livebearers  and  maybe  my  pair  of  BGKF.
As  i  setup  my  other  tanks  as  a  low-tech  planted  tank,  i  want  this  to  be  non-planted  setup  but  am  currently  lacking  ideas  on  how  i  can  scape  such  a  tank.
Any  body  with  non-planted  tanks  but  having  rocks,  wood  etc?  I  would  really  appreciate  i  you  could  share  your  pictures/ideas  here.
 Thanks.  Smile

You  have  to  ensure  that  your  BGKF  gets  sinking  food  to  eat,  as  it  is  bottom  deweller  it  should  not  be  a  problem,  however  I  have  never  kept  this  combination,  so  cannot  really  comment  on  it.
But  i  don't  think  it  will  be  a  problem  as  long  as  you  are  able  to  feed  it.
Angels  do  follow  food  right  upto  substrate,  so  feeding  knife  fish  might  be  a  problem.

 Hi  Sandeep,
Yes  i  agree  that  livebearers  would  look  lovely  in  a  planted  setup  but  i  currently  cant  manage  two  of  them  Smile
I  was  hoping  i  would  be  able  to  look  at  different  setups  for  ideas.

 Ashwin,  Sandeep
About  the  BGKF  it  really  depends  on  how  you  have  raised  them  and  how  long  you  have  had  them.
My  BGKF  now  not  only  know  when  i  am  feeding  them  but  they  are  right  up  there  at  the  surface  gobbling  the  food  as  soon  as  i  put  them.  And  it  is  a  spectacular  sight  to  see  9  inch  BGKF  vertical  and  swimming  in  full  speed  perpendicular  to  the  surface  of  the  water   Very Happy

Try  a  wood  only  tank  don't  use  rock.  Make  sure  some  algae  grows  on  the  wood,  I  am  sure  it  will  look  stunning.  I  do  not  have  pictures  to  post  but  they  are  all  in  my  mind  and  I  am  sure  it  will  look  great   Smile
