hey ppl out there, specially the betta breeders....i need some help...i want to breed bettas...i have a male and a female...both are conditioned...the male has also built a bubblenest...i have done all the setup...but when i release d female, the male does chase her and shows off his fins to her...but she just doesnt respond...i have kept the together for about 2 weeks now...i had released d female for two days straight , but she just didnt respond to the male...is this because of her age, or because she spawned lately??...she is over an year old...she spawned 2 months ago when she was with my friend...plzz give your suggestions n tips...thnxxx

yes...i think the female is ready to spawn...she has quite a good belly...and she also shows faint vertical bars...
as for my tank setup, its small tank i think about 30 cm x 15 cm x 20 cm...have provided a cut styrofoam cup for the bubble nest...and i change 25% water daily...also the water is conditioned with IAL...and have separated the male and female by a glass compartment...

Agree with Rahul, even if you do get your fish to spawn, survival of the fry will be difficult... Is the breeding tube of the female visible?
Can you try posting pics of the female? If im not mistaken, that female is from a spawn of one of my betta pair, last year

how old is the male ?
30 cm x 15 cm x 20 cm tank would not be good idea.
Also if its raining bettas wont spawn.
there is no need to change the water.
try with a almond leaf in the tank.
maintain water temperature between 80 to 82 F.

since you tried putting both the sexes together and have not been succesfull, here is what you can do,
seperate the male and the female,
give them live foods like tubifex worms, daphnia mosquito larvae anything live will do,
don just put the live food in the tank, give them small feedings 6-8 time throughout the day,
this will ensure their guts getting filled,
give them these live foods for atleast a week
if the bettas are jarred use an almond leave@1" per small quart jar,
if the bettas are in a tank ,one leave will suffice for a 44ltr tank,
now set up the breeding tank the natural way,
put some floating plants such as duckweed or riccia in the tank,
add fine leaved plants to the tank such as hornwort or cabomba, 5-10 sticks of cabomba will be enough for a 10g tank,
add half a almond leave to the breeding tank,
sometime during morning out the male in the tank after half an hour put the female in the tank,
they will start flaring a each other,if everything goes fine they will spawn in an hour or so,
keep the temp in the tank at 26-28C,
if they dont spawn jar the female and put it in the tank along with the male,
when you see the female swimming head down or when it develops vertical stripes release it in the tank,
dont use any airstone or sponge filter until you have removed the male from the tank and the fry have become free swimming.,
regarding what you said that your female was spawned one month earlier,i would like to let you know that my betta female spawned twice in 10 days,so that not a problem,
and also dont keep disturbiing the tank
hope this helps
