Ramirezis  are  sensitive..  So  you  might  need  some  previous  experience  in  keeping  cichlids  if  you  want  to  be  successful  at  keeping  those  guys,  in  my  opinion..  The  other  two  should  be  quite  hardy..

 Malawi  Cichlids  are  african  cichlids.

I  wouldn't  mix  them  with  Americans...

55  gallons  can  hold  about  two  varieties  (one  male  in  each)  of  african  lake  malawi  cichlid.  Try  P.Socolofy  (powder  blue)  and  M.  Estherae  (red).  They  look  strikingly  pretty  together.  Add  Plenty  of  rocks  as  cover.
Other  combinations  could  be  yellow  labs  and  peacocks.  M.Lambordoi  and  M.Auratus/M.  Johanni.  The  last  one  could  be  tricky  simply  because  of  their  extreme  repugnant  attitude.

 Hi  Rameez,

There  are  plenty  of  options  for  you  in  cichlids.  The  best  thing  for  you  would  be  to  browse  through  various  websites  on  the  net,  decide  on  the  type  of  fishes  you  need  based  on  size,  behaviour,  level  of  care,  compatibility  etc.  Another  factor  would  be  whether  these  are  available  locally  for  you  (in  case  you  are  not  planning  to  import  these).

I  say  this  because  ultimately  the  fishes  you  would  want  in  your  tank  should  be  of  your  choice.  Others  might  recommend  a  few  to  you  but  it's  for  you  to  decide  based  on  the  factors  mentioned  above.

BTW  certain  Malawi  Peacocks  have  both  red  and  blue  shades  on  them.  Check  those  out  at  the  websites.
