The  first  thing  that  strikes  is  how  amazingly  uncluttered  it  looks   Smile   Smile  !  Wow  Thumb Up  .  Most  of  us  get  carried  away  with  plants  and  more  plants---but  this  really  looks  great,  simple  and  vast  swimming  areas  for  the  fishes.  Really  nice.

The  tank  is  progressing  nicely!  I  love  this  kind  of  setups,  two  island  on  either  sides  and  empty  at  the  center.  They  give  a  feeling  like  go  beyond  it  through  the  passage,  very  pleasing.
 And  great  photography  this  time.

 Hi  All

Time  for  an  update  of  this  tank,  The  Rotala  R  is  clearly  visible  now,  I  have  planted  it  on  the  background  on  both  sides,  but  the  right  side  has  done  extremely  well  and  has  undergone  2  trimmings  already.  The  left  side  did  not  do  well  because  the  driftwood  and  bolbitis  was  cutting  out  the  light  to  a  large  extent.  Had  been  too  busy  to  do  anything  about  it  for  a  long  time,  about  a  week  ago  i  moved  the  bolbitis  a  bit  and  now  the  plants  have  started  doing  well.  The  right  hand  portion  of  Rotala  will  undergo  a  major  trim  in  a  few  days,  though  i  will  update  a  picture  before  that.

Frankly  Seetha,  I  prefer  the  previous  one  (14th  June).  This  one  looks  a  bit  artificial.  I  mean,  the  rotala  just  doesn't  fit  with  the  landscape.  May  be  something  like   drift  wood,  moss,  bolibitis  (on  the  left  bank)  meeting  rotala  and  other  stem  plants  but  not  such  a  big  'moss  covered   driftwood'  (on  th  right  bank)  could  have  looked  better.  Currently,  with  Rotala  just  on  one  bank  and  everything  else  almost  a  mirror  image,  is  what  bothers  me  a  bit  Sad  .

Sorry,  don't  want  to  discourage  you  but  just  compare  the  (A)  14th  june  pic  wih  this  one  (B)and  imagine  two  more  aquascapes.....  (C)one  where  the  rotala  is  there  on  both  banks,  and  two,  (D)where  there  is  only  rotala  (thick  growth  with  appropriate  trimming)  on  one  bank  ...to  me  (B)  will  not  look  the  best.  the  tank  looks  so  neat  that  I  can't  resist  giving  unwanted  improvement  tips  Thumb Up   Chuckle   Chuckle

@  Shubhankar  and  Maulik:  Thanks  Guys

@  Bappa;  I  agree  the  Rotala  on  one  side  looks  weird,  its  irritating  me  as  well,  The  Rotala  on  the  left  will  take  some  time  to  catch  up  with  the  ones  on  the  right  hand  side.  The  Right  hand  side  rotala  will  undergo  a  Major  trim  (Hopefully  today)  .....  and  the  scape  is  still  maturing  ....  by  the  time  im  done  with  it  ,  hopefully  it  will  look  much  better   Very Happy

Nice  growth  of  Bolbitis.  Is  it  tied  to   the  wood?
