If you are think that it is going to cost you, then you are right.... The cost involves you to share the same with your fellow hobbyiest who are in need of it.
Mod's: I would request you to keep this thread alive, as the same could be used as a database of hobbyiest who have live worms. Hobbyiest who want to share the culture from different cities are most welcome to use this thread.

Prasoon helped me a lot last year so I can start Live food culture. But failed to do so due to Gurgaon weather and poor shipping system of India.
It's a great initiative Surya. |

Hi Surya, the micoworm starter culture you gave us is working really great. We now have a sustainable live food for betta fry. Thanks a lot.
And as you said, I am also ready to share the culture for fellow enthusiasts. I am based out of Banaswadi in Bangalore and call me or message me at 9880518019 for a starter culture.
Cheers,

Panagrellus redivivus
------------------------
The free-living nematode Panagrellus redivivus (Sour paste nematode) is known to many aquarium enthusiasts and fishkeepers as the microworm. It is a tiny roundworm used as the first food for minuscule newly-hatched fish, such as the popular pet fish betta. The microworm is widely used in aquaculture as food for a variety of fish and crustacean species.
The microworm is about 50 micrometers in diameter and just over 1 millimeter in length, barely visible to the naked eye. It is easily cultured at home on a substrate of flour or porridge.

Turbatrix aceti
-----------------
Turbatrix aceti (Vinegar eels, Vinegar nematode) are free-living nematodes that feed on the microbial culture, called mother of vinegar - that is used to create vinegar - and may continue to persist in unfiltered vinegar.
Although they are harmless and non-parasitic, leaving eels in vinegar is considered objectionable and is not permitted in vinegar bottled for consumers in the United States[1]. Manufacturers normally filter and pasteurize their product prior to bottling to prevent the eels from occurring.
Vinegar eels are often given to fry (baby fish) as a live food, like microworms. Vinegar eels are only found in unpasteurized vinegar. Vinegar that has been pasteurized no longer has the live bacterial and yeast culture that these nematodes require for subsistence.[2]
Enchytraeus buchholzi
--------------------------
Enchytraeus buchholzi (also known as white worms or Grindal worm)[1]) is an annelid worm. It's cultured by aquarists as a fish food.[1]

Lumbriculus variegatus
--------------------------
Lumbriculus variegatus, sometimes known as blackworm (or even California blackworm), is the name given to at least three distinct species of worms which are identical in outward appearance. Until 2009, the species were regarded as one.[1][2]
These species of worms live in shallow water marshes, ponds, and swamps, feeding on microorganisms and organic material. They live throughout North America and Europe.

Folks,
I have got Grindal worm culture running successfully!
Thanks to Prem KK, he got the starter culture from singapore around one month back.
Iam feeding them tetrabits and growing them on sponge and scrothbrite. They seem to do well and is doubling up in around 2-3 weeks time. Luckly these guys dont smell like microworms.
Have passed on to 4 members yesterday. I have Vyas, Bala, Balaji and Raghu on my waiting list. Let me know if anyone else is interested.
Starter culture in peat

Grindals in sponge
Grindals in scrotch brite
