All members of The Aquarist Society Of Karnataka / Indian aquarium hobbyist are invited to participate in the meet on Sunday the 13th of December 2009.
The Venue: The Aquarium store - Indira Nagar.
The time: 10.30 am On wards.
Prabhu along with Surya and Simhan has kindly agreed to host the lunch at The Aquarium Store.
The Menu: Veg/Non Veg.
The drinks. Soft Drinks only.
A chance to meet the faces behind the names especially for new members of IAH. An opportunity to make new like minded friends, source, give away or exchange aquarium related goodies. And of course unlimited non stop fishy talk, tales and yarns. 
Members of ASK/IAH who intend to participate are requested to post on this thread so that we have a fair idea of the number and do not inconvenience the host. Outstation aquarium hobbyists are most welcome. You are our honored guests.
Please be on time as usual.

Hi All,
I can see that only 9 people have confirmed.
Whoever lands up unannounced will have to be content with Good Day biscuits.
On a serious note please confirm well in advance since I have to make arrangements for the food. I don't want to end up like Shreyas eating the excess food for 3 days.
Note : Anyone who wants to bring any plants/ fish for exchange / give away to other members are welcome to do so.
No tax will be charged on the barter.

Ok how about people who have any fish for sale or exchange can just put it up here and maybe at the store we can have a silent auction like at old ASK meetings? It will encourage people and also we can create a small fund that will take 10% of the earnings for the day and have a small kitty so that next time anyone is willing to organise a meet the financial burden is reduced on them?
Trveor can you please post the same on the Yahoo forum as well as i think you will find a few people from there as well. |

We will strictly not encourage any sales or financial transactions in regard to aquarium goods in these meets which are fully sponsored by our gracious hosts.
We cannot stop any sales when aquarists meet but will not take any steps to encourage it.
This here is a chance to meet and share/give away/exchange things you have in excess especially plants.
I hope the newbies especially make use of this opportunity.
Nikhil, You have a point and we will definitely look into it. Could plan a silent auction in the first month of the coming New Year. |
