The  parents  are  still  in  the  tank.  Tried  catching  them  today  but  very  difficult  in  the  tank.  Its  full  of  floating  plants,  was  sifting  through  them  without  any  success.

Surely  could  spare  a  few.  I  have  kept  about  20  in  a  small  tank  and  rest  (don't  know)  in  the  outdoor  tank.  Feeding  them  frozen  BW  and  red  ant  eggs  to  the  fry.  Cichlids  yes  but  not  convicts.  Will  be  hard  keeping  other  varieties.  But  thanks  anyway  for  the  convict  fry,  may  be  for  a  small  aquarium  later.   Smile

Geophagus.  Will  be  an  issue.  No  substrate.  Its  a  cement  tank  of  10'x18"x1'  (1'  water  level).  Fishes  don't  jump  because  of  the  floating  plants.  Water  replenishment  done  by  the  regular  rains,  or  else  top  up  each  week.  Feed-  snails,  worms,  insects,  ants....  So,  a  fish  not  demanding  substrate  will  suite  fine,  though  there  are  a  few  broken  pots  and  small  sunken  branches.

Rams  seems  nice,  but  yet  to  get  my  hands  on  a  female.  On  the  look  out  for  a  Bolivian  pair,  but  will  be  for  an  aquarium.

Will  like  to  get  hold  of  a  wild  channa  stewartii  or  even  a  barca  for  this  tank  (barca  will  outgrow  this  tank  though).  Huh!  wishes  and  dreams...

Scooped  inside  the  tank  and  was  able  to  catch  7  babies.  they  are  about  2  weeks  old  and  1.5"  sized  approx.  Getting  the  shape  of  a  channa  now.  Fed  them  some  worms  and  put  them  back  in  the  outdoor  tank.
