thanks  a  lot  Seetharam,  Chintu  ,  Krishna,  Pramod,Garothmaan,Mathew,  Nayak,  Dev.

had  been  busy  at  office  for  a  month  now.  the  tank  was  totally  screwed  as  i  dinot  change  water  for15-20  days.
now  not  much  difference  except  that  the  blyxa  has  grown  really  good.
lileopsis  is  getting  on  my  nerves.  its  time  has  come  Chuckle
had  these  lots  of  dirt  type  stuff  on  leaves  ,rocks.  put  some  guppies  in  there  and  they  cleaned  it  all.

Saurabh:  i  don't  know  the  parameters  but  i  am  using  ADA  amazonia  soil  and  Do  aqua  be  green,  DIY  CO2  (did  not  shift  to  pressurized  CO2).  maybe  later  as  i  am  contemplating  removing  the  other  planted  tank  soon.

 Chintu:  the  updates  are  here.

i  somehow  feel  that  a  36  watt  light  over  the  8  gallon  tank  is  less.  shall  i  add  another  18  watts  without  tweaking  the  other  things  a  lot.  any  other  plant  i  can  add.

and  trust  me  i  am  still  a  failure  in  managing  planted  tanks.i  don't  have  algae  issues  but  somehow  i  am  not  able  to  grow  other  plants(altenanthera  renickii  was  giving  bent  and  very  small  leaves  so  i  threw  it).  wanted  to  try  glosso  but  i  guess  i'll  be  restraining  myself  and  if  i  grow  HC  Cuba  anytime  then  Fidel  Castro  will  personally  fly  down  here  to  kill  me)

i  was  seeing  the  first  pic  and  the  last  one,  darn  ...i  think  the  first  one  looked  better

planted  tank  experts  suggest  on  what  shall  i  do.  Nayak  can  you  lend  me  some  KNO3  solution.  i  went  to  buy  it  but  the  shop  owner  did  not  entertain  my  demand.  said  its  illegal  to  sell  without  documents.

also,  guys  suggest  me  on  what  changes  shall  i  do?

the  only  good  news  is  that  the  hair  grass  is  growing  thicker.  i  find  it  very  pleasing  when  guppies  go  down  in  the  thicket  and  have  a  hard  time  coming  out....the  hair  grass  is  dirty  but  can't  help  it.  also,  how  much  from  the  surface  shall  i  trim  the  grass?  now  usually  i  trim  till  it  is  2  inches  from  the  surface.

Even  I  think  the  first  pic  is  better  than  the  last  one.   Chuckle

How  ever,  still  its  a  very  nice  tank  you  got  there.  I  would  not  like  the  blyxa  there  in  the  tank.  Alternanthera  was  giving  a  touch  of  colour  in  the  tank  so  the  colour  is  missing.
HM  is  begining  to  get  bushy  but  in  the  fist  shot  is  was  individual  plants,  giving  a  much  better  appeal  to  the  tank.
Hairgrass  has  changed  from  immersed  to  submerged  form  and  needs  trimming  as  you  rightly  said.  Do  not  trim  it  uniformly,  keep  some  parts  untrimmed  to  give  it  a  more  half  hazard  look.

Lastly  and  importantly,  I  would  not  remove  the  Lileopsis  Brasiliensis  as  it  definitely  gives  a  freshness  to  the  foreground  layout  and  helps  to  make  the  rocks  more  prominent.

These  are  just  my  suggestion,  you  need  not  take  them  seriously  if  you  do  not  like  them.  No  offense  meant  dude.
