 Hello  Friends,

I  have  a  small  pond  7'x6'x3'(LxWxH)  (made  by  cement  and  covered  with  white  tiles).

Right  now  I  have  arround  30  Puntius  denisonii  and  lots  of  plants  in  pots.

I  want  to  add  more  native  fishes.  Pls.  suggest  me  what  kind  of  fish  I  can  keep  there.

Water  temp.  alwyas  less  than  30  and  water  is  clear.  Sometime  became  little  bit  greenish.

Here  is  the  picture  of  my  pond  :

Native  Experts  need  your  valuable  suggestion,  Comments,  etc.

The  pond  looks  great  Abhis.  IMO  Puntius  Fasciatus(Melon  Barb)  will  look  really  good  looking  from  the  top.  Add  some  Killies  too  if  you  covering  the  pond  with  net.

Really  nice  Abhis  da.  I  remember  you  mentioning  breeding  Denisonii  in  one  of  your  ponds.  Nice  to  see  the  preview   Thumb Up  .
We  would  want  few  more  pictures  and  details  about  filtration  as  Dev  da  said.  It  seems  to  be  on  the  terrace.

What  you  can  surely  keep  is  Badis,  Darios,  Chand  Ranga,  Colisa  lalia,  Some  Danios  ,  barbs  etc  also  a  lot  of  native  shrimps  may  be  which  will  act  as  food  source  as  well,  introduce  a  lot  of  snails  etc  and  daphania  so  that  there  is  enough  natural  food  for  the  fish...

Go  and  catch  some  from  the  ponds  (lakes)  near  your  house,  sure  you  will  end  up  having  enough  fishes  for  your  pond

Hope  you  post  more  pictures  of  the  fish  after  this...

 Regards

 Sujoy

Badis  and  Dario  will  need  live  feed.  You  will  have  innocent  blood  on  your  hands   Thumb Down

Colisa  fasciata,  Puntius  filamentosus/assimilis,  Puntius  conchonius,  Rasbora  daniconius  etc.  would  make  better  additions.
