The  male  should  be  there  until  the  frys  are  free  swimming  that  might  be  3rd  or  4th  day  after  the  eggs  are  hatched  but  you  got  to  be  careful  cos  not  all  males  are  good  parents,  they  tend  to  eat  their  own  frys  so  keep  an  eye  on  the  male  if  at  any  point  you  feel  like  that  the  males  eating  the  frys  its  time  for  you  to  remove  him  from  spawn  tank  and  reduce  the  water  level  to  2"  once  the  frys  are  free  swimming  you  can  increase  the  water  level.

@anandflower:  Please  make  sure  that  you  give  BBS  the  second  week  atleast.  Feeding  only  on  microworms  can  cause  missing  ventrals.  Happened  to  me  in  my  current  spawn   Sad   Wall Bang

All  the  best  for  your  venture.

 Regards,

 Vinod.

@anand:  You  dont  need  to  "GET"  infusorians.  You  "MAKE"  them.  No  need  for  starter  culture.

There  are  numerous  online  sources  on  how  to  do  it.  Pretty  simple  actually.
All  you  need  is  a  clear  glass  jar,  a  little  wheat  flour,  a  little  milk  and  may  be  a  a  banana  peel.

If  you  can  make  green  water,  it  will  provide  your  fry  with  enough  infusorians  for  ever.

You  can  feed  the  fry  with  a  little  crushed  egg  yolk  for  the  first  three  days.  Try  to  get  them  on  to  microworms  or  bbs  after  that,  to  really  get  their  growth  rate  up.

Please  make  sure  you  have  fry  food  ready  before  you  spawn  them.  Else  you'll  be  responsible  for  the  end  of  hundreds  of  fish  lives.   Sad

 Regards,

 Vinod.
