 Hi,

Adding  fishes  to  collection  and  spawning  of  discus  led  me  to  think  about  adding  more   tanks  to  the  balcony-come-fish  room.  Now  the  problem  is,  currently  I've  almost  around  6  tanks  with  24x24x18  size  and  I've  been  managing  them  with  4  outlet  aquarium  pump.  However,  it  has  started  creating  a  great  amount  of  noise  and  I'm  seriously  thinking  of  having  a  blower  or  heavy  duty  pump  which  will  serve  almost  around  12  tanks  with  above  specification.

Please  guide  me  to  suitatble  pump/blower  (a  silent  one  Smile)  If  possible  also  let  me  know  which  store  in  pune  or  online  store  has  it.

 Regads,
 Adesh

 Adesh,

As  you  prefer  Silent  pump,  Eheim  is  the  way  to  go.
They  have  many  such  models  under  Compact+  &  Universal  series,  you  can  chose  appropriate  one  suiting  your  requirement  (total  volume  of  all  tanks).

You  have  Eheim's  Authorized  Wholesale  dealer  located  in  Pune  (Indus  Marketing),  you  can  check  with  them  for  availability.

Thanks  yogesh.  Forgot  to  mention  that  would  like  to  have  a  cheaper  one.  Eheim  would  be  a  lot  costly  solution,  I  can  bear  some  noise  Wink

Just  checked  with  Indus  mktg's  dealer  in  pune  and  he  has  advised  to  get  Resun's  LP-20  for  above  requirement.

Any  expert  comments  on  Resun's  LP-20?

based  on  Resun's  LP-20  i  would  say  your  talking  about  an  Airpump?  in  that  case  i  suggest  Boyo.  it  comes  with  2  output  valves  which  can  be  split  3  ways  each  and  runs  very  quite  and  quite  powerful.  i  am  currently  driving  3  spong  filters  for  my  nanos  through  this  via  a  single  output.

@zakk,  the  dealer  said  its  not  an  air  pump  but  a  blower  and  can  connect  15-20  small  tanks.

 Hi  Adesh,
I  was  having  the  same  problem  so  have  shifted  to  a  blower  too,  it  has  been  performing  well  since  the  past  4  months.  Will  check  the  model  number  and  details  at  home  and  post  it  at  night.

I  will  pm  the  cost  to  you.  But  i  had  picked  it  up  here  in  hyderabad.

Go  for  a  Hiblow  Air  Pump  HP-20.
With  me  for  more  than  a  year  pumping  around  25+  sponge  filter's.
 Very  very  silent  pump.

Friend  of  mine  is  using  the  same  brand  for  more  than  5Yrs+,  without  any  problem  and  haven't  even  changed  the  diaphram.
 Worth  money  spent  on  it.

I  had  the  same  situation,  Want  to  run  multiple  tanks  in  my  room  and  balcony  ,  There  was  one  chinese  make  that  i  purchased,  pretty  noisy  when  not  connected  to  an  outlet,  but  once  its  hooked  its  quite  silent.  Have  just  installed  it  ,  Has  a  big  hose  which  comes  out  and  connected  to  a  plastic  6  way  splitter,  But  each  outlet  should  be  good  enough  to  run  2  tanks.  Havent  tried  it  yet  in  terms  of  hooking  it  to  12  tanks.

Will  try  posting  details  a  bit  later  on  today,  hopefully  a  picture  as  well  to  get  a  better  idea.
