rain water from malaysia and thai can be used for bettas,
the rainwater here has lots of pollutants mixed, hence it is not recommended to use rain water, |

i had a friend,in Chennai(nandanam), who used to keep his breeding tanks in his back garden.
in the open, covered only with a net.
and used to collect rain water for his water changes.
the first showers are bad and toxic (for us even), 2nd , 3rd 4th should do
peace |

Rain water generally does not contain too much hardness. But not applicable in our cities, the level of pollutants would be too high. Stick to your regular water supply. Happy breeding |

Rain water can be use for breeding but avoid first/second rain of the season. |

The water collected from A/C vent has to be stored to for 2 or 3 days before using it for breeding. |
