The return will be over the rim of the tank. Ill have to drill a hole on the canopy and let the water flow over the top of the tank.
It might be a problem removing the hood for any purpose. Make sure that the return stays fixed when you remove the hood. That can be achieved by cutting the hood from the bottom till the height the return is to be placed. (like a mouse hole somewhat)
else be prepared for lots od irritation if any of the lights needs to be replaced/serviced.

I have just started the cycling a week ago. The parameters are as follows:
pH : 8.1 - 8.2
salinity: 1.019
(from some chinese hydrometer, im not sure if this is accurate, will wait for the shipment of my refractometer... I've added red sea salt and during mixing it showed the same so i thing there is a fault with the instrument)
Temp: 26.2
Ammonia : between 2-3
Nitrite: between .5 - 1
Nitrate : Not tested yet
[All tests were done with a lab water testing kit, nitrate and nitrite color charts were pink and the ammonia was light yellow to orange, think this is the nessler's method]
On other queries, i have the skimmer turned on all through the day, it pulls out white foam with less brown particles. I have tried my best to fine tune it, but i am not able to get pure brown goo... I did get it the first two days, and then it started to come out white... So i was thinking of buying a weipro 2014/2015.. would this help?

I have red tube feathers.. i guess they are called that.. like a fan that comes out from a tube and goes back in a little later... I was wondering if i need to feed them something or let them be on their own..

The critter is a bristle worm or flat worm, common hitchhikers on live rocks, dont worry they're mostly harmless. The green algae like thing is algae. Make sure your flow is adequate enough, at this stage its normal to have algae. Just make sure your LR gets good flow 24/7.
Mate you've just started cycling and you have no bioload so the skimmer will produce whitish gunk. it's working fine, give it some for the brown gunk. Personally i prefer azoo skimmers, have worked very well for me.
