Attached are some pics of 3 feet tank (160lts - 3*1.25*1.5ft - LWD) setup thats WIP. filled with approx 15ltrs of ADA Amazonia II and some plants that I received from Mr. Carey. Yet to fully plant. The tank was given away from "theash". It a;ready had a rectangular partition behind which equipment could be hidden. I am midway on converting that into a DIY filter / sump compartment, and have added the posterier glass and the internal glass compartment shelves to this to hold the media...pics are attached... the tank is fine, but there is a major leak in the sump section tomorrow... once fixed, it should run fine...
Kindly advise on what type of media I should put in this. I am thinking of following layers . There are overall 4 compartments, bottommost will hold the internal water pump. so thinking of following filter media...
1st compartment (topmost) - white cotton wool material
2nd compartment - layers of scotch brite pads
3rd compartment - ceramic rings.
4h compartment (bottom most) - one 1000ltr/hr water motor that will throw out the filtered water via the tubing and a DIY spray bar. into the main tank.
