 Hello  All,

Hope  everyone  is  doing  good.  I  am  new  to  this  site  and  recently  started  this  greatest  hobby.

I  feel  so  relaxing  by  seeing  my  fishes  everyday,  runs  from  office  to  take  care  of  them.  Initially  when  i  added  new  fishes  to  the  tank,  many  of  them  died.  Then  i  started  reading  and  added  medications  to  the  tank.

Now  i  read  from  different  sites  saying  that  nitrification  bacterias  are  good  for  the  tank.  I  read  about  JBL  denitrol  and  Bioclean.  Took  three  capsules  of  Bioclean  from  LFS  and  planning  to  add  it.  I  have  few  Q's

 1)  Do  i  need  to  remove  all  water  and  then  add  the  bacteria  and  release  fish  with  new  water
 2)  or  ok  to  add  the  bacteria  to  the  existing  system.

Issue  is  like  i  am  bit  scared  of  breaking  the  ecosystem  as  now  i  feel  like  fishes  are  healthy  after  adding  few  medicines  from  LFS.

Please  let  me  know  how  to  proceed  with  this.

 Thank  you

Since  your  tank  is  already  in  function  for  some  time  and  has  live  fishes  in  it,  the  Bacteria's  has  already  set  in.

In  my  opinion  you  need  not  add  anything  extra.  you  can  also  refer  to  the  link  below  which  talks  about  these  products  and  i  agree  with  them.
 http://theaquariumwiki.com/Bacteria_bottles,_do_they_work%3F

Since,  you  already  have  already  purchased  it,  you  can  add  it  straightway  to  the  tank.

 Renith,

As  ajha  suggested,  you  dont  need  to  add  anything.

More  information  on  your  tank  would  be  helpful

Please  post  the  tank  size,  when  did  you  setup  the  tank  and  what  fishes  and  how  many  you  have.

 are  you  running  any  filter?

Submerge  filter  -  i  added  paracoid  medicine  when  my  fishes  started  dying  (LFS  suggested).  I  am  not  sure  about  tank  size  exact  -  3  feet  *  2  feet.

This  is  two  weeks  old  setup.  Looks  like  all  ok  now  after  adding  Paraciod.
