 Two  of  my  friends  gave  me  two  balloon  mollies  on  my  birthday  in  a  small  glass  bowl.  Hence  the  need  for  a  planted  tank.  I  don't  know  how  to  bridge  the  gap  of  logic  in  between,  and  so,  won't  even  try...  Smile...
 I  got  a  30*18*20  tank  made,  with  a  stand  to  hold  a  48*18  tank  (looking  forward  i  guess...).
 That  was  the  easy  part.  The  harder  part  was  finding  a  shop  that  sells  driftwood.
 This  weekend  I  got  a  bunch  of  Malaysian  driftwood,  and  something  called  contro-soil...The  guy  at  the  shop  told  me  it  was  the  best  of  the  best  of  the...(you  get  the  idea)...
 I  ordered  some  anubias  and  sagittaria  and  hygrophila  to  get  started...
 Also  searched  for  some  T5  lights  with  reflectors.  Since  I  couldn't  find  any  in  my  locality,  I  might  have  to  settle  for  T12's  with  reflectors...oh  well...
 I'm  also  looking  to  get  a  CO2  tank  this  week.
 I'm  in  the  Powai  region  in  Mumbai.  So,  any  help  from  local  Mumbaikers  on  how  to  tap  into  good  shops  around  me  would  be  very  appreciated.
 and  so  begins  the  journey...

 Keep  it  up.

 @Amazonian2010,  thanks  for  the  encouragement...
 Linelogic  agreed  to  send  some  plants  my  way...thanks  to  him  too...:-)...

 Filled  the  tank  with  driftwood  and  controsoil  last  night....the  water  is  tea-colored  at  this  point...am  suspecting  the  driftwood  rather  than  the  controsoil...hopefully  the  tannins  will  leach  out  soon...
 need  some  input  on  the  hardscape...will  post  pix  when  the  water  clears...

 Water  cleared  up  soon...
 After  a  few  iterations,  the  tank  looked  something  like  this  -

 Then  came  getting  plants...As  mentioned  before,  some  were  contributed  by  Linelogic...Some  came  from  Nautilus  in  Bandra...and  the  rest  from  Aquanature  in  Borivali...
 After  about  four  hors  of  attaching  ferns  and  anubias  to  the  driftwood,  and  planting  the  ground  cover,  the  plant  was  finally  planted...At  the  time  being,  there  is  a  bunch  of  ambulia  at  the  back  right  corner  that'll  be  removed  when  the  tank  matures...
 Here's  how  it  looks  after  a  week...the  right  side  has  been  cropped  a  bitduring  taking  the  pic,  my  apologies...

 Some  of  the  anubias  leaves  perished...I'll  get  some  micro  and  macro  solutions  tomorrow,  and  start  dosing  soon...The  controsoil  is  holding  up  well,  it's  looser  than  I  expected...So  bits  and  pieces  fly  about  now  and  then...
