 Hi  Friends,

I  have  3*2*2  tank,  with  equal  sized  sump,  with  some  rocks  in  it  and  its  under  cycle.

I  would  like  to  know,  what  should  be  the  lighting  to  be  set  for  best  result  in  FOWLR.

 Hi,
I  would  advise  on  3  watts  per  US  gallon.  Divide  your  display  tank  water  volume  by  4  to  arrive  at  the  watts  required.  Your  main  display  tank  would  be  336litres.  So  we  are  looking  at  224  watts  here.

IN  a  FOWLR..........  you  need  just  enough  light  to  view  your  fish.
I  dont  see  the  need  of  3  watts  per  gallon.

I  agree  with  Rahul,  and  going  with  watts  per  gallon  is  not  the  right   way  to  calculate  lighting  for  a  marine  tank..

Just  get  2  Blue  tubes  and  2  white  tubes,  that  should  suffice  for  your  tank...

Go  in  with  PLL  lighting  of  about  two  55Watt  PLL  and  a  actinic  blue  would  do.
