Hi   Smile

 2.  Best  food  for  them??

 Thank  You!  Smile

 Firstly   Cheer

 Secondly:  Pics  please!!!

 Thirdly:
 1.  I  read  somewhere  that  keeping  bright  setup  leads  to  good  colours  in  them....is  this  right??

Get  those  neon-red,  blue  green  pebbles  you  always  wanted.  Most  FH  experts  says  the  brighter  (loud,  Govinda-style)  the  environment  the  more  colorful  the  FH  gets.

 2.  Best  food  for  them??

In  my  opinion,  "specialist"  FH  food  is  laden  with  steroids  and  not  very  healthy.  I  would  recommend  Hikari  Cichlid  Gold  and  Bio  Gold+.  There  are  others  who  will  suggest  "Humpy  Head"  etc  etc.

 3.  How  long  do  they  live??

Depends  on  tank-size,  food,  water-quality  etc  etc  etc.  Under  decent  conditions,  15  years  plus.

 4.  I  have  currently  kept  him  in  a  nano  tank....alright??

 Is  this  "Nano-tank"  your  12inches  X  7inches  X  7inches  tank?

 Good  luck,
 Sid

PS:  Where  did  you  get  this  from?

 1.  I  read  somewhere  that  keeping  bright  setup  leads  to  good  colours  in  them....is  this  right??

personally  i  dont  like  coloured  pebbels  u  can  use  some  baisc  things  like  normal  brown  coloured  stones  or  sand  but  do  get  a  bright  coloured  back  groung  for  your  fish  like  blue  .

 2.  Best  food  for  them??

I  would  also  recommend  Hikari  Cichlid  Gold  and  Bio  Gold+.  grans  sumo  ,then  i  feed  mine  shrimps  which  has  carotine  basic  component  required  for  the  red  colour  also  blood  works  and  tobifex  worms.

 3.  How  long  do  they  live??

Depends  on  tank-size,food,health  etc  but  would  say  10  years  plus.

 4.  I  have  currently  kept  him  in  a  nano  tank....alright??

depends  for  few  days  yes  but  as  they  tend  to  grow  faster  try  changign  its  setup  asap  because  if  u  feed  him  correctly  u  will  notice  thatin  next  3  months  from  meare  i  inches  he  may  grow  to  nearly  4  inches  Thumb Up

 congrats  Thumb Up

 Suyash,

He  has  good  pattern  on  him..  He  is  just  a  bit  stressed  and  is  not  showing  much  color.

Start  a  new  thread  with  pics  from  when  he's  settled  down  in  his  tank..

 Good  luck,
 Sid
