People  you  should  know  that  Tirtha  is  actually  wrong.  You  can  not  have  algae  in  immersed  cultures.  That  why  people  do  immerse  cultures.  Its  a  sorry  tale  that  our  friend  here  has  a  great  eye  for  algae.   ROFL

 @  Saurabh

 No  flow.
 No  dosing.
 No  co2.
No  planned  water  change,  but  I  keep  the  water  level  a  constant.
Not  many  fishes,  some  of  the  tank  do  not  have  any  fish/fauna  I  believe.
There  is  no  place  for  algae  to  grow  in  most  of  the  tanks,  where  the  plants  are  submerged  as  they  have  taken  over  the  tank.  Newer  ones,  that  have  new  plants  that  are  yet  to  take  hold  properly  are  being  watched  regularly,  and  around  20%  water  change  alternate  days.

Substrate  is  plain  gravel  with  garden  soil,  mixed  with  additives,  like  peat,  earthworm  castings,  laterite,  vermiculite  etc  etc.

Immersed  cultures  can  not  have  algae  as  there  is  no  water  beyond  the  substrate.

How  old  is  the  submerged  setup.  Gotta  get  algae  under  such  conditions.
