I've had these aros for a little over two years.. The largest are Akira and Gandalf, prob about 28"+ and the smallest is ninja ninja, about 25". This started some 3 months back.. the big guys trashed the smaller aro around and tattered fins etc.. the aro refused to feed and if it came up it would be trashed again.. over this period one observation.. the pelvic fins kind of broke in these fights and did not grow back.. it is short.. this could be a sign its a female.. the males have pelvic fins that are longer and go into the anal fin.. the males would circle each other.. flared up.. all fins erect.. sort of like a territory struggle.. there used to be a lot of chasing and jumping around between the males.. i was very concerned about the smaller aro so moved her into the 10X2 sump.. it couldnt contain her and so i moved her back into the main tank after a few days.. the chasing and biting continued but had mellowed down.. and slowly the smallest aro came up and the big boys did not push her around.. and this is what happened today.. akira and ninja ninja are doing that sort of dance.. around 1 min 40 sec in the video.. akira pushed ninja ninja along into the wall but the oscars stir up a fight and break it up.. its been goin on all morning.. well fingers crossed.. lets see what happens.. cheers

Exactly a year has passed since i got my TSN..
This is how small i got him..
and now he is about 18".. should have been a minimum 20" but i guess i didnt feed him the way i fed the RTC.. well here is the release video into the pond.. hopefully peace prevails..
you should keep a huuuuuuuuuuuuuge glass tank as well and keep one of these beauties on shift in it
:) ha ha ha.. thanks jabba.. would have been better with just a viewing pane... i can't even think about catching them.. the power they have is incredible.. when i'm scrubbing the pond standing inside, if my RTC swims quick by me, the amount of water he manages to shift is phenomenal.. its like a wave hitting you underneath..
