I  topped  up  my  existing  ADA  tank  with  a  1/3rd  bag  of  remaining  ADA  that  I  had.  The  tank  was  rescaped,  there  are  plants  but  no  fish.  The  existing  media  in  my  tank  was  kept  for   days  in  the  same  tank  water  taken  out  in  a  bucket.

Its  been  more  than  3  weeks  the  initial  ADA  dust  has  cleared  but  when  I  turn  on  the  lights,  the  water  appears  milky  white,  especially  directly  under  the  lights.

Note  that  lights  have  always  been  the  same,  one  10K  Azoo  tube  and  remaining  6.5K  PLL  tubes.

the  effect  is  like  that  of  some  milk  being  spilled  in  water.  I  have  been  doing  90%  water  changes  due  to  ADA  addition  for  2  weeks  almost  daily,  but  this  milky  water  issue  remains  even  though  my  last  change  was  a  week  back  just  to  wait  and  see  if  things  improve.

I  use  a  DIY  sump  with  2  types  of  mechanical  filter  media  that  includes  green  scotchbrite  type  media  and  cotton  wool.  I  have  2  full  bags  of  ceramic  rings  for  bio  filteration.

Does  anyone  have  any  idea  what  this  issue  may  be?

 Yogesh

Disturbing  the  old  substrate  +  addition  of  new  ammonia-rich  AS  II  has  resulted  in  bacteria  bloom.  Keep  up  the  WCs  it  should  clear  in  a  while
