 Hi  Surya,
As  i  already  mentioned,  its  going  to  be  experimental  tank...   Smile
 Here  are  the  details  ....

   #  First  layer  is  "Brick  pieces"  ,  of  1  to  2  inches
   #  The  gaps  between  them(second  layer)  is  mix  of  laterite  with  big  sand  granules  (ratio  is  1:5,  approx)
   #  I  have  planned  2  islands  each  on  one  back  corner  ,  these  are  ADA  Amazonia  (from  my  old  tank)
   #  The  filling  between  these  islands  is  by  silicate  (white  sand)  which  is  inertial.
   #  The  topping  of  this  is  done  by  sand  pabbles  (to  give  better  look)

   #  around  the  3  sides  (both  sides  and  back)  1  inch  is  sand  from  bottom  to  top  (to  make  plants  not  to  grow  there  and  ease  the  cleaning)

 Regards

 Yaza,
The  setup  looks  nice..  However,  my  only  concern  is:  How  will  you  keep  the  substrates  in  place  and  not  allow  them  to  level  once  you  pour  water  and  run  the  filter?

I  doubt  that  too.Once  water  is  filled  up,  the  substrate  would  eventually  slide  down.
The  wood  also  kinda  looks  small  as  compared  to  the  tank.
I  know  its  easier  to  critic  on  a  scape  and  ignore  the  hardwork  being  put.
But  dude,  it  shows  you  have  put  in  a  lot  of  effort  in  it.
 Best  of  luck.

 Hi  Yaza,

All  looks  nice  Thumb Up  seems  everything  including  the  tank  is  DIY(fat  seams)

Just  one  doubt  though-  are  you  going  to  lower  the  lights  a  bit,  I  know  PLLs  cause  heat,  but  if  you  post  them  so  high  I  feel  you  ll  lose  the  intensity  from  them.

 Waiting  for  more  pics.
 Cheers!

 Hi  Bappa,
I  didnt  think  of  this  any  time,  up  to  now  ...   Shocked
any  how,  I  have  already  filled  the  water  to  half  of  substrate  level  and  this  is  stable  up  to  now.
And  the  filter  output  will  be  at  top  ,  hope  it  wont  disturb  the  setup  much  ...

If  iam  lucky,  the  foreground  plants  will  cover  up  the  substrate  sufficiently  ....  Let  me  hope  for  this  ...   Smile

 Saikumar,
In  bangalore  ,  it  looks  like  the  heat  is  not  a  big  issue.  I  have  already  filled  the  tank  with  3inches  of  water  and  with  lights  ..  the  temp  is  26*.

I  wanted  a  cheap  version  of  light  setup,  and  this  is  the  one  came  out  of  my  mind  ...   Smile
