Chuckle   Once  i  finshed  the  scape,  It  reminded  me  also  of  the  same.  Will  be  tying  christmas  moss  in  case  im  not  able  to  get  that  stump  to  be  above  water.

Exactly  thats  the  one  I  was  talking  abt.   Clapping

But  still  have  a  question.  I  am  not  sure  about  the  size  of  the  rocks.  Don't  you  think  they  will  be  over  powered  by  HC  in  some  months????

And  what  idea  you  have  to  cover  that  ugly  stump  top?  Some  Super  glue  and  Christmass  Moss  can  do  some  wonder.   Thumb Up

 Hey  Buddy

The  rocks  are  small,  But  since  they  are  on  the  upper  part  of  the  slope,  I  dont  think  the  HC  will  cover  it  completely,  Also  i  will  need  to  keep  the  cuba  as  low  to  the  substrate  as  possible,  and  i  have  just  the  right  tool  for  it  now,  An  awesome  scissor  315  mm  Long  and  designed  exactly  like  ADA  Pro  Scissors  Nude.  Just  love  that  scissor.

The  stump  on  top  i  hope  to  adjust  it  such  that  it  is  out  of  water,  else  will  cover  it  with  moss.

Hey  Seetharam,  really  cool.  I  am  in  the  process  of  starting  3  similar  tanks  using  DSM.  Will  definately  keep  an  eye  on  your  post.
Have  a  few  questions  for  you...
How  often  are  you  misting  it?
Ive  never  used  contro  soil  is  it  as  good  or  better  than  Aquasoil?
Whats  the  price  of  a  9L  bag  of  it?
Do  you  plan  to  do  any  fertilization?
Whats  your  photo  period  as  of  now?

Thank  you  and  Happy  scaping  Smile

I  dont  mist  it,  I  cover  the  top  with  Plastic  Wrap  like  the  ones  you  get  for  food,  Retains  the  moisture  inside  the  tank.  Will  open  it  once  in  a  week  for  5-10  min  for  fresh  air,  Thats  it.

I  find  ControSoil  as  good  as  ADA.

You  get  it  in  a  10L  bag  in  2  Sizes  (4mm  and  2mm),  PM'd  you  the  pricing  link

Fertilization  will  start  only  after  i  flood  the  tank.

 Photoperiod  is  8  Hrs

You  can  also  refer  a  older  Journal  of  Mine  using  DSM  as  well.

Just  went  through  your  older  journal  awesome  work  but  dont  you  think  higher  lighting  levels  and  longer  photoperiods  (Usually  12hrs  for  a  DSM  setup)  would  make  it  grow  faster?

Any  idea  where  i  could  find  Contro  Soil  here  in  Mumbai?

Good  stuff  though.  Givin  me  all  the  confidence  i  need  to  start  3  of  my  own.  Will  keep  you  posted.  Thank  you.  Smile
