I have been maintaining my aquarium 30X15X18 with 4 Jewels, 3 Severums and 2 parrots for the last 3 months, of late I have observed small white spots sticking to the galss of the aquarium and also some white worms of very small size 1mm in size sticking to the front galls of the aquarium. I am not sure as to what this is and weather its dangerous to the fish. I have cleaned the tank/gravel and other stuff with warm water this week aslo, but again I noticed the same after few days. All the fish are doing good and feeding properly.
I have the moulded tank whihc has the integrated overflow filter on the hood.
I change my water 60% every 15 days and around 90% once in 2 months. This has worked well initially, but in recent days I have started this problem.
Also, when I washed with warm water, I have got the boiling water from my gyser and mixed the normal cold tap water and just rinsed my gravel, plastic plants and filter( without sponge and filter media) for about 5 minutes and allowed it to dry and then put in back in the tank whihc has 40% of the old water and filled it with the fresh water. Basically I use R/O water from my apartment complex (R/O treatment plant) to fill my aquarium tank.
Whats the best you can suggest to improve the water quality, any ideas / remedies for a moulded tank.
