I  recently  introduced  fishes  which  I  purchased  from  Kurla,  now  everyday  i  find  4-5  fishes  dead  and  in  3  days  i  have  lost  50%  of  my  fishes.

Mine  is  100  Litre  planted  aquarium  mainly  with  tetra,  loaches  and  shrimps.

 Any  advice  would  be  welcome

Tank  dimensions,  how  old,  whether  cycled  or  not.
Start  with  50%  water  change  on  a  daily  basis,  put  in  2  teaspoonful  of  cooking  salt  for  every  5  lit  of  water.
This  will  provide  some  relief  to  fish,  it  might  be  due  to  ammonia  spike.

 tank  dimensions  30  inches  x  12  inches  ,  1  year  old  tank  ,  with  hardly  1  /   2  fishes  dying  in  a  year.
 Good  stock  of  plants.
Why  would  the  ammonia  level  suddenly  spike?
 I  only  added  fish.

Thanks  for   your  advice  ,  already  did  a  50%  water  change  as  per  your  advice.
Will  adding  salt  be  harmful  for  the  shrimps?

How  much  de-cholirnator  do  I  user  per  litre  of  water?

I  did  not  know  you  had  shrimps  in  tank,  I  am  not  sure  about  effect  of  salt  on  shrimps.
This  is  precisely  the  reason  why  we  ask  for  full  information  to  be  given  in  first  post  itself.
Better  stick  to  water  changes  only.
The  instructions  for  decholrinator  are  normally  given  on  the  bottle  itself.

 Pls  also  check  for  :-

How  fishes  are  dying.  Are  they  coming  to  top  of  water  and  gasping  for  breath

What  the  volume  of  CO2  being  diffused  in  tank.  I  recently  lost  all  my  fishes  as  my  maid  accidentally  increased  the  CO2  flow  in  tank.

Any  rashes/signs  of  infection  on  body.

Any  particular  species  of  fish  you  are  loosing.

Above  info  will  help  you  to  understand  real  cause  of  deaths.

 Regards

@  Jack...  Cant  take  the  risk  of  firing  her  Smile...  she  is  too  precious  in  opinion  of  my  better  half..in  this  festive  season,  if  I  fire  her,  I  will  be  termed  as   "bitter"  half.

 jacobw,

How  many  fishes  did  you  add?  and  what  species?

Drastic  change  in  bioload  could  also  be  a  reason.

 Hi  Sandeep,

I  did  mention  about  shrimps  in  my  first  post  ,  possibly  you  overlooked  it.
No  problems  ,  let  me  continue  with  the  50%  water  change

 Thanks
 Jacob
