I  have  the  exact  same  setup  as  the  poster  and  have  PM'd  him  my  expenses.  BTW  on  a  different  note,  why  can't  we  openly  discuss  the  prices  on  this  forum?  What  is  the  reason  discussing  prices  openly  not  encouraged  on  this  forum?  We  are  all  hobbyists  so  I  don't  see  any  reason  why  discussions  on  prices  should  not  be  allowed.  Somebody  please  enlighten  me.

What  do  guys  reckon  about  my  choice  of  fishes  ?

 My  narrowed  down  choices  :

 1.  One  school  of  Glowlight  tetra  to  start  with   and  cardinals  or  neon  for  the  second  school  sometime  later  (  12  +  12  or  13  +  13  )

 2.  One  school  of  neon  /  cardinal  tetras  and  a  school  of  male  fancy  guppies  (  12  +  12  or  13  +  13  )

 3.  One  school  of  tetras  and  another  school  of  zebra  danios

As  far  as  i  researched  the  glowlights  seem  to  be  very  hardy  ,  whereas  the  cardinals  seem  to  be  very  picky  about  the  water  parameters  but  less  susceptible  to  diseases  than  their  smaller  cousins  ,  the  neon  tetras  .

And  another  criteria  when  selecting  tetras  is  that  i  prefer  the  ones  that  donot  grow  larger  than  1.5  inches  (max  )

 Food  :  Hikari  Micropellets  ??

 Thanks  in  advance

 Regards

Good  choices  and  compatible.  But  I  though  you  wanted  a  tetras  only  tank.  Compared  to  Tetras  the  Guppys  and  Zebra  danios  will  be  more  frisky  and  rob  the  focal  points  off  your  star  attractions(Cardinals,  Glowlights  or  Neons).
 Hikari  Micropellets  is  good  too.
You  have  done  your  research  well  Thumb Up

 Regards  and  best  of  luck.

Thanks  for  the  input  Nayak  sir  .  Yeah  ,  i've  made  my  mind  ,  i'm  goin  to  plan  on  introducing  only  two  species  of  tetras  ..  STRICTLY
Like  you  said  the  danios  are  hyper  active  and  read   that  they  might  induce  stress  in  peaceful  schoolers  like  neons  and  cardinals  .

So  here's  the  order  based  on  my  preference   1)  Glowlight  Tetra   2)  Neon  Tetra  3)  Cardinal  Tetra

Can  i  start  with  a  school  of  glowlights'  at  first  or  would  starting  with  neon/cardinals'  be  a  better  option  ?
