 Hi,

After  about  48  hours  of  searching  online,  i  finally  thought  iah  probably  is  the  only  place  where  i  could  get  an  answer.

I  am  looking  to  buy  a  reef  ready  tank,  i  got  an  option  from  a  dealer  in  chennai  selling  ocean  free  tanks  but  was  discouraged  by  hobbyists  i  know.  Was  told  the  quality  of  tanks  from  occean  free  is  not  all  that  good.

Can  someone  please  suggest  where  i  can  buy  a  reef  ready  moulded  tank  with  the  overflows  and  returns  already  drilled  and  also  which  comes  with  a  cabinet  and  a  sump.

 Rgds,
 Dhruv

Very  less..  You  can  check  if  Boyu  have  the  tank  as  per  your  requirement.  But  I  am  not  sure  about  the  quality  if  them  too.

 Hi,

Could  you  help  me  with  details  of  dealer  in  India  (preferably  in  South  India)  who  could  supply  boyu  tanks.  I  checked  their  website  and  LYC-1800  looks  to  be  a  good  choice.  Have  mailed  the  email  on  website  for  details.

I  have  already  bought  MP40wES  pumps,  Coral  Pro  sea  salt,  marine  white  sand  and  eheim  2028  canister  filter.  Once  i  have  my  tank  i  would  like  to  look  at  the  specs  and  buy  a  good  skimmer  (though  i  have  a  recently  bought  boyu  DG  2524  for  my  4  feet  tank  which  had  a  sealant  leak  last  week  and  which  i  am  now  working  on  redoing  completely).  Also  once  i  have  my  tank  i  would  like  to  work  on  the  lighting  and  apart  from  my  150  w  20,000  k  metal  halides  would  like  to  use  some  cool  LEDs  from  aquastyleonline

I  need  all  the  help  possible  and  greatly  appreciate  the  same.

 Rgds,
 Dhruv

You  have  not  mentioned  Chiller  for  your  Reef  tank!!!!

With  the  hot  climate  in  Coimbatore,  you  need  a  chiller  to  run  a  reef  tank.  Without  a  chiller  its  not  possible  for  you  to  run  a  reef  tank  in  a  place  like  Coimbatore.

Also  did  you  consider  the  frequent  powercuts  which  happen.  I  heared  that  there  is  nealry  6  hrs  of  powercuts  currently!!!  How  are  you  going  to  manage  that  with  a  reef  tank?

Do  you  have  any  power  backup  system  to  run  all  your  marine  equipments?  Specifially  for  filter  and  chiller.

Do  consider  all  these  before  you  start  into  a  reef  tank...

looks  like  you  are  in  a  hurry  but  wait  maintaining  reef  is  not  a  game  having  just  drilled  tank  will  not  help  you.  you  need  plenty  of  stuff  right  from  the  beginning  &  your  first  investment  after  tank  should  be  in  a  good  quality  skimmer  &  in  chiller  rather  than  in  fancy  stuff  like  MP40  wes.

 Hi,

I  already  have  a  chiller  and  all  other  basic  things  required.  Yes  i  also  have  a  power  alternate  to  run  my  return  pump, skimmer,  chiller  and  wave  maker.

All  i  am  in  need  of  is  a  good  tank  to  get  myself  started  and  instead  of  wasting  time  in  selecting  a  tank,  investing  time  in  helping  the  water  condition  and  tank  stats  stabilize  in  the  new  tank.

 Rgds,
 DG
