Driftwood problem

 I  have  this  driftwood  in  my  tank,  which  has  some  thing  like  fungus  or  algae,  it  is  just  on  the  drift  wood  only  if  I  remove  the  wood  nothing  is  their
 just  wanted  to  know  what  is  it  and  what  is  the  cure  for  it.
 
 This  is  my  gini  pig  tank.......(yet  to  be  finalized)
 
 Tank  information
 200Lts  tank,  new  planted  setup,
 substrate:  humus  +  laterite
 co2:  liquid.
 4  weeks  old  setup.
 Driftwood  is  DIY

 the  wood  is  leaching  wash  it  under  running  water  or  add  a  pleco  or  similar  fish

 this  piece  of  wood  is  too  fresh,  it  has  not  been  dead  for  long.
 the  slime  you  see  are  bacteria,  they  thrive  on  the  juice/sugar  inside  the  wood.
 
 unfortunately,  there  is  nothing  you  can  do  about  it,  but  take  it  out.
 you  can  dry  it  for  some  months  in  the  sun,  or  water  it  in  a  seperate  water  canister,  then  you  could  try  to  use  it...after  a  couple  of  months,  but  you  can't  use  it  now.

 looks  like  drift  wood  fungus....
 
 should  not  be  a  problem,  just  remove  them  manually...
 
 
 Is  the  DIY  drift  wood  sinking??  also  let  as  know  the  source  and  preperation  done  to  driftwood  DIY...

 yes,  there  are  fish,  which  can  eat  the  slime/bacteria.
 but  still,  the  threat  of  water  pollution  and  rot  is  there.

 yes  the  drift  wood  is  sinking  and  I  have  dried  it  in  sun  for  a  month.
