Lohgad has some water tanks in the fort. When I had been there year ago I had seen all tanks full of Swordtails. Obviously somebody had played mischief I presume. I have also been to a river2 stations before Titwala called Kadawli. Does anyone know of that place

@Ramdas: However tentatively we are not going there because our guide "worlimen" is unable to come for a overnight and he know the place . But still find the cost so atleast we know something for next time.
Guys if we intend to go please suggest some places.
Thanks,
Ryel |

@ ryel there are many places around mumbai in a radius of 30-40kms wer we can go... but right now no one is giving any inputs or we just go and at the we find out the place is dry. normally around this time of year, most of the streams small rivers start to dry out. I am not able to get in touch with certain friends of mine as they always go this areas for treks and hikes, the moment i do i will inform you all about it. then maybe we all can go there. ( hope the guide name wont get stuck on me).
or if nothing works out we will go to the same usual place in chenna river but we try to go upstream to were the river starts (that may be 1-2kms inside )maybe we can get sum nice driftwood/rocks
@ramdas you do let us know the rates for the place in igatpuri.
lets make it happen even if we 4-5guys are their.........
what say... |

@worlimen: I had been to chenna on the 26th of Decmeber alone for shrimps. The place was drying up pretty fast. Upstream there was a medium size body of water but might have dried up by now. I just notced 20th of Feb (mahasivratri) there seems to be a bank holiday would u or any member be able to make it for a trip. That way we can go on Sunday and come back on monday. I know it's short notice but just a suggestion that way we can stay at the place where ramdas is saying ???
Thanks,
Ryel |

| There's nothing in both the lakes. I mean not the type of place where you can go for an expedition. |

I had also been to this PLACE a couple of years back. This place should be having water but what i can't recollect is if there exist any good place for collection. It's a huge lake but i don't know what fishes or invert you get there. We would have to take the boat and go searching though out the lake for a good collection place. Details of this place are HERE
Thanks,

ryel & ramdas
i think i have been from this route last year and had seen few places were we can do our collection but all this was along the pipeline and there was some work going for a additional water line,
i feel we should find few places to do our collection but still it looks like we will be spending lot of time for searching the places for streams then catching fishes and one more thing traveling on a bike would be more preferred as the road is not wide enough for two vehicles to pass comfortably.
