Hello,     I'm   female,  34  years  old,  and  have  had  aquariums,  terrariums  and  other  pets  all  throughout  my  life.  I  live  in  the  Netherlands.

Aquaholic  invited  me  after  a  brief  contact  on  facebook,  and  I  thought:  why  not.  Its  a  long  ways  away,  but  I  figured  I'd  meet  new  people,  see  lots  of  pictures  and  just  in  general  hang  out  with  like-minded  people  :-)  You'll  have  to  excuse  my  english  every  now  and  then  :-)

Due  to  circumstances  (a  long  term  relationship  gone  belly  up,  and  i'm  small-housed  at  the  moment)  I  only  have  a  small  tank,  and  therefore  small  creatures...  By  very  unexpectedly  moving  out,  and  having  my  mind  occupied  with  other  things,  I  messed  up  the  healthy  tank  it  was.  Its  only  recently  that  its  back  in  balance  again.  I  still  have   the  water  quite  brown  because  of  the  large  wood  in  it,  but  fish  don't  seem  to  mind,  and  I  kind  of  like  the  atmosphere  that  the  brown  water  creates  as  well.

Its  a  tiny  60  cm  tank,  with  two  varieties  (babaulty  green  and  fire/red)of  healthy  breeding  shrimp.  Got  a  happy  group  of  7  Rasbora  Galaxy,  and  7  happy  Corydoras  Paleatus.  Its  a  Riparium  setup,  where  the  surface  plants  are  growing  on  the  bogwood  that  sticks  out  of  the  water.  Plants  are  mostly  mosses  and  "fern"type.  and  mini  ficus  above  the  water.  Ow  and  one  Pangio  Kuhli,  cause  it  wont  die  ;-).  I  know  it  shouldn't  be  by  itself,  but  don't  want  to  add  to  that  group  anymore.  Last  but  not  least  I  have  three  Anentome  Helena  snails.  (and  many  pointy  snails  :p)

The  reason  I  joined  the  aquarium-group  on  facebook,  is  that  i'm  gonna  be  moving  to  England  sooner  then  expected,  to  join  the  love  of  my  life.  If  anyone  here  knows  anything  about  moving   fish,  and  other  aspects  of  aquariums  to  another  country,  and  then  especially  to  the  UK,  with  its  strict  regulations,  please  let  me  know.   Even  if  its  only  to  tell  me  not  to  bother,  and  start  over  again  there  ^^

I  will  try  to  post  pictures  soon.  Nice  meeting  you  all!

 grts  Erika

Hey  welcome  to  the  forums  !  You  might  want  to  register  on  practicalfishkeeping.com  forums  as  well  as  the  ukaps  forums.  You  will  find  all  the  help  you  need  with  shifting  your  tanks/livestock  to  the  UK.

It  reminds  me  on  one  thing...general  mindset  does  not  change  a  lot  in  2  years  i.e.,  Even  I  was  expecting  pics  of  some  fish  from  Netherlands   Sad   Sad   Sad
