|
|
This is my new 150G 5X2X2 marine tank. Today I've done scaping and in the night planning to put the substrate. Total 33KG of rocks, 20KG base rocks and 13KG LR. Since last two months rocks were with me so guessing that my cycle will be over soon. Once cycle is over planning to attach the sump along with a pair of clown, till that time my tank will be partially empty. I didn't keep anything in the background but kept enough space between wall and tank. Later I'll put a board with the blue background poster, the other side of board will be black, so depending on mood my background will be white, black or blue.
By next weekend lighting will be done.
Any suggestion is welcome.
Regards,
Nitin. |

Thanks,
Stand is in 2" angel, cost I'll PM u..
@ Yajur,
Thanks, I didn't keep much height to avoid falling, tried my best to lock them in each other. Will add live stock only if everything is fine, if my sump gets ready before parameters are normal then will add sump first and will wait for parameters to settle down.
@ Mortis & Mits,
I spoke to masters here, as its just FOWLR they said rocks wil b enough, lets see if everyone suggest to add more then will arrange more rocks, anyway 5 more KG will b kept in sump. |

He was in my LR, since long i used to see his eyes, so didn't move the rock he was in. But for my surprise i saw him roaming in my display tank . But now he and few crabs are in a bucket, i'l keep them all in sump. |

| where you got dead rock from? dont add anymore rock, this is enough. upgrade your skimmer, its small for your size tank. also try adding a sump and an overflow box. |

Yes I think rocks will be enough, even Weylin told me the same. Yes skimmer need to be upgraded, my plan is to add a pair of clowns, then a yellow tank, then a regal tang, then will upgrade skimmer to SRO-XP2000, planning to upgrade in Aug. Till then I think this skimmer will handle the load. I put a defuser also in skimmer to increase the air volume and it works well enough i guess. Sump I’ll add soon and for overflow there is a hole in the left side of tank, next to skimmer. Yesterday added 27KG of coral reef live sand, will upload the pics soon.

Nitin. |

I didn't fill the tank completely because my sump is not ready and after completing the cycle to bring down the Nitrate I'll attach sump with new water so tank will start running with sump and need not to do water change, at least not 50%.
Experts please advice if this plan will work
