I did bring Back one more plant that looks like it might be a good fore ground plant.
Here are pictures of both the emmersed as well as immersed growth of the same plant....
Immersed growth:
Emmersed growth:
Hope to get this growing in a pot before replanting in a tank....
With the recent rains the water level has increased and we found lots of small juvenile killies.
The normal sized adults were in deeper water and harder to reach. |

Some more pics of the plant Preetam has already posted -
Immersed form
The leaves appear to have different shapes in immersed and submerged form
Looks like it could be used to grow a really nice carpet
The common catch - Puntius Conchonius aka Rosy Barb
Preetam is amazing in spotting fishes in the wild. Usually buried under the sand, even glossogobius giuris coudlnt escape his expert eye!
This loach was caught alongside schistura semiarmatus. Looks like denisonii but the pattern and colour stumped me! Can anyone confirm the ID?
Loach Biotope
Killies showing some amazing colours!
Channa Punctata. Or was it gachua ..dont rber and cannot make out from the pic!
Was let off after the click. I got a bigger Punctata which is settling down in the tank.
We had a gut feeling we will get some Badis and we did! They are everywhere...I wonder why we never noticed them earlier Maybe we were just dismissing them as P cupanus
The Badis spot
We got 2 kinds of specimen.
First one
Second one
So much effort and a Danio! (#%&*($&#*_#
Rosy Barb! Edit!
The rest of the images will follow as soon as the fishes get settled in the tank.
All pics are courtesy our official photographer Debtirtha Das |

| The plant looks like Bacopa monieri. A bog plant. Does not do well in an aquarium for long. |
