 Hi  Friends

I  have  a  lump  of  hydrocotyle  tripartita  in  my  tank.  Tank  size  is  56  gallons  with  3.5  wpg  and  dosing  Seachem  NPK  and  Seachem  Excel.

hydrocotyle  tripartita   is  on  the  right  hand  side  bottom  behind  the  date  tag.

I  want  to  learn  how  to  correctly  plant  hydrocotyle  tripartita.  As  the  roots  or  stems  of  hydrocotyle  tripartita   are  very  fragile  and  thin,  they  tend  to  break.  Also  the  lumps  tends  to  form  a  bigger  lump

I  want  it  to  cover  a  larger  area.

Request  to  suggest  correct  way  of  planting  hydrocotyle  tripartita  .

 Regards

 Sanjay  Dubey

I  do  have  a  variety  of  Hydrocotyle,  Not  sure  about  the  species,  I  planted  them  in  small  pieces  (just  one  stem  joint  is  enough)  and  they  got  their  roots  in  less  than  2  weeks.  in  6  weeks  They  have  almost  covered  my  tank  substrate

mine  tank  is  a  120G  high  tech  with  EI  dosing.  so  i  think  its  a  very  low  demanding  plant.

AFAIK!  These  things  are  very  irritating  when  it  comes  to  getting  them  planted  in  your  tank.  If  you  can  be  that  patient  and  handle  the  back  ache  then  planting  each  leaf  individually  is  the  best  option  here.  Requires  very  fine  gravel  and  CO2  injection  to  grow  horizontally.

PS:  I'm  looking  for  it.  If  you've  some  to  spare.  Can  I  get  some...  Very Happy

 Hi!
Nice  tank.  I  liked  the  staurogyne  on  the  left.
