Would  need  live  food  to  start  off  with...Flies/Mosquitoes  from  the  house  will  be  taken  with  aplomb
Very  good  jumpers,  keep  the  tank  well  covered.

Most  come  from  Brackish  waters  -  so  a  bit  of  salt  initially  and  then  can  be  acclimatised  to  FW

When  I  kept  mine  they  were  kept  in  just  about  12"  of  water  salt  added.  I  kept  them  on  Hikari  massivore  pellets.  They  ate  them  well.  But  if  not  then  go  for  live  feed.

Acclimatize  them  slowly..very  susceptible  to  stress..Predominantly  top  swimmer..

Will  eat  any  small  fish  that  fits  its  large  mouth!..

Fascinating  fish  to  keep  and  observe...A  sight  to  see  them  hunt  their  prey!

They  are  eating  Tetra  Bits.  Was  wondering  if  i  could  get  them  to  eat  them  insects  or  live  stock  asin  to  promote  healthy  growth.  Also  would  like  to  add  that  its  been  more  than  a  week  now  and  there  is  no  agression  between  them,  had  read  it  somewhere  that  its  best  to  keep  them  in  a  school  of  min  4-6  fishes  as  the  agression  subdues.

When  they  are  juveniles  they  stay  in  a  school  as  they  are  not  quite  adept  in  shooting  down  insects.
Once  they  grow  up  they  become  skilled  shooters.   Guns     and  High  jumpers  too  Bounce
If  the  tank  is  not  covered  they  will  be  seen  jumping  to  catch  insects.   Chuckle
