Nice post sir,
Glad to see these LEDs here,What made are these?.I bought the same,chinese made, from bangalore.Im using 10 Watts x 3 for my planted tank.
I had actually removed the power supply unit at the back and attached a dc cooling fan(1.3W) to the heat sink.Now the unit remains really cool even after hours of use.I was using 36Wx 2 PLLs earlier ie total 72W no reduced it to around half! 
Only drawback, i personally feel is the spotlight effect,cone of lights and shadows.
Eagerly waiting to see the final set up

Here in Delhi, they are available with price of each unit as:
10 watt Rs. 6XX
20 watt Rs. 11XX
30 Watt Rs. 16XX
I have seen these in Lajpat Rai market.
Mods, I am disobeying the rules only showing the first and second digit. If it is wrong, you can delete that part. |

No idea as to the make Vivek. But they are robust.
I tried out the 10 watt on my 2 feet tank. Good light but corners were a bit off.
Rigged up the 20 watt one, fabulous. Added 2 more LED 2 feet tubes, I had with me for the past 2 years but never got around to using.
The tank lights up brilliantly.
This tank needs planting now.
Waiting for donations every Sunday !  |

| @Madan: 20 watt Led is enuf for 2 feeter? Can we grow fore ground plants like glosso and HC with this. |

Super then....  were you able to sucessfully mount them..Please give a pic.
Anyway that saves a lot of money which brand it is.
Will we get parts if anything happens to it.

Hi Madan,
How are you planning to mount this to the tank? Any plan to hang it from top or mount on the glass? Would wait to see the final pic of the led light on the tank.. |
