I  wanted  to  know  if  2213  is  sufficient  for  a  36  gallon  heavily  planted  aquarium.

If  not  which  is  suitable  2215  or  2217.

Wouldnt  2217  have  too  much  flow  for  the  tank  size?

In  my  opinion  2213  would  be  very  less  for  a  36Gallon  tank.  Better  to  go  for  2217.

 I  use  a  2217  in  a  27G  hairgrass  planted  tank.
 It  is  just  good  enough.

2215  would  be  def  sub  optimal  in  your  tank!

i  have  2213  is  my  28  gallon  planted  tank  with  20  cardinal  tetras  and  i  have  never  got  a  chance  to  complain  about  water  clarity.  for  your  tank  2215  should  be  sufficient.

The  flow  of  2215  will  be  insufficient.  His  is  a  heavily  planted  tank,  so  even  more  so!
