Hi Dear friends,
I am using Tap water for my aquarium (after keeping for 2 days or more) but after a minor or a major water change the water is having a cloudiness for 2-3 days and after that it is very clear.
Can any one tell me why this is happening ?? I am using a Eheim 2217 and the filtration is more than enough but still for 2 -3 days there is a cloudiness and after these days it is becoming crystal clear.

If the water is cloudy immediately, or within an hour or two of filling the tank, it's probably due to insufficiently washed gravel.
Drain the tank and rinse the gravel until the water runs clear.
If washing the gravel doesn't solve the problem, the next most likely cause of cloudy water in a newly filled tank is a high level of dissolved salts such as phosphates, silicates, or heavy metals. If you test the water, you'll no doubt find the pH is high (alkaline). In these cases, treating the water with conditioners will often resolve the problem.
One solution that I found is , fillthe bucket with water and leave it untouched for few hrs and then add 80% of it to the tank.
Hope this works.

Vinod -
I am having a planted tank so no gravel is there to wash. I was asking about cloudiness which occurs when I change water weekly.
what would be the reason for that as I use water which is kept for 2 days or more.
