lol, sorry, forgot to add...
powerhead drives water into filter, tank is 18 inches high, the return goes back into aquarium because of gravity since the filter is 30 inches high, gravity drives water to be equal in both the containers,
i hope the water doesn't rise to 30 inches, will drill secondary holes above water input...
thank you :D
in effect, this is a reverse sump
raising height of filter by 1 foot, for total height is 48 inches |

I dont want to be a total KILLJOY here, but if you can, try to find abhis9's thread on same filteration idea.
I would also say make a DIY cannister. But first can I see the tank, for which you have made this filter? |

tank is 33 gallon, just cycling with plants and a few guppies
decided to use open top gravity fed canister filter. the same design as before, just made of pipes 3 3 feet 3 inch pipes, going to test run tomorrow, hope there are no leaks :O
will use the acrylic tank as filter/algae tank scrubber for a 10 gallon with a few cichlid fry |
