Rings  will  become  prominent  after  quite  a  few  months,  so  it  is  very  difficult  to  ascertain  without  having  a  look  at  the  parents.Even  offspring  of  ring  leopard  parents  may  not  all  turn  out  to  be  properly  ringed. But  they  are  non  hormoned  nine  bar  leopards  alright  and  quite  healthy  ones.Worth  taking  the  risk.

If  they  were  hormone  fed,  Hasheem  probably  would  not  have  posted  this  topic.
Rings, stripes, spots, colour  become  unnaturally  prominent  even  at  this  age/size  of  the  fish.
Some  breeders  isolate  a  few  fishes  (usually  the  culls)  from  a  batch  and  feed  them  with  hormone  enriched  food  to  ascertain  the  future  characteristics  of  that  strain.
