My  tentacle  anemone  which  has  been  with  me  for  more  than  a  month  and  a  half  decided  to  move  into  the  wave  maker.  A  part  of  the  anemone  body  and  nearly  15  to  20%  of  the  tentacles  have  been  damaged.  Fortunately  the  foot  is  safe  and  i  have  extracted  the  anemone  and  put  it  back  where  it  was  originally  and  the  foot  has  taken  hold.  The  tank  looks  clear  as  the  flow  has  moved  all  the  cut  parts  away  to  the  sump  and  i  have  removed  the  cut  parts.

I  am  seeing  the  clown  fishes  are  avoiding  the  wounded  part.  Is  there  anything  else  i  should  do  to  try  and  salvage  the  anemone.  Will  it  survive?

The  anemone  has  survived  overnight.  It  is  still  maintaining  its  colour  on  the  side  which  is  not  wounded.  The  wounded  part  has  turned  white/  grey  shades.  The  clowns  are  hosted  by  the  anemone  and  looks  like  things  are  not  very  desperate  for  the  time  being.  I  hope  the  anemone  recovers  soon.

Any  advice  on  what  i  can  do  to  help  it  recover  is  welcome.

check  your  water  parameters  due  to  die  off's.

If  possible  remove  the  anemone  and  place  it  in  your  hospital  tank.
