 Hi  everyone,

I  thought  instead  of  throwing   away  the  plants  after  pruning,  why  not  put  it  in  another  tank?  So  here  I  am  with  another  3  feet  tank(  got  it  cheap),  now  for  lighting  I  am  thinking  of  Sujo'  DIY  lighting  method,  but  my  problem  is  lighting  as  I  am  going  for  3  feet  T5(prefered),  I  cant  find  any  3  feet  T5  with  6500  Kevin  rating  in  town,  all  I  could  find  was  3  feet  2700K  T5,  else  I  will  have  to  settle  for  2  feet  6500K  T5   so  I  thought  I  will  take  expert  opinion  regarding  2700K  rated  lighting  for  planted  tanks.  Btw  I  have  only  low  light  plants  like  Giant  saggitaria,  ludwigia  repens,Cryptocorynes,  Dwarf  Saggitaria,Rotala  Rotundifolia  etc  except  riccia  fluitans

 Many  thanx
 Dotfish

 Dotfish,
It  will  work,  the  plants  won't  complain  about  it  but  you  will  be  having  a  yellowish  tinge  in  this  lighting  which  will  not  be  as  aesthetically  pleasing  as  with  a  6500k  lights..

 Thanx  Nidhi,
So  except  the  aesthetic   part  ,  they  are  Ok  for  a  planted  tank.  Great.  But  one  more  question,  you  think  it  will  be  better  if  I  mix  2700K  with  6500K  for  a  better  growth?

 Thanx  once  again

Yes  you  can  mix  it  up..  it  will  bring  out  the  green  color  of  the  plants  better.
