 Hi  Guys!

IAPLC  is  approaching  so  fast,  and  I  not  not  have  even  1  tank  to  present.  I  am  so  tied  up  with  business  that  I  was  actually  thinking  that  I  have  forgotten  how  to  aquascape.  And  I  was  not  getting  the  itch  to  do  a  tank  for  a  very  long  time.  In  this  times,  I  need  some  thing  to  charge  me  up.  Something  that  will  spark  off  that  want  in  me  to  do  a  scape.  It  is  a  sure  shot  trigger  if  I  see  some  really  good  scape  first  hand.  So  when  I  went  to  a  friends  house,  after  some  time  and  saw  his  new  scape,  it  surely  triggered  my  want.  So,  here  is  one  that  I  have  done,  the  hard  scape.  Will  plant  tomorrow.

Please  let  me  know  what  style  of  planting  should  be  good.  I  am  sick  of  HC  Cuba  and  Glossostigma  elatinoides.  And  I  will  not  use  them,  at  least  as  staple  fore  ground  options.  I  am  thinking  a  lot  of  moss,  staurogene,  Hair  grass,  and  Glossostigma  Diandrum.  No  Hydrocotyle  Tripartita,  Man.  I  have  started  hating  that  plant  too,  off  late.

Do  you  think,  I  should  do  something  with  the  right  corner  rock?  Or  a  clump  of  Hair  grass  will  look  good  there?

Please  critique,  positive,  negetive,  just  for  the  heck  of  it,  what  ever,  every  body  is  welcome.

 Hi  Dev,

 Looks  promising.

How  about  Vivipara  on  right  hand  backside  !!

I  will  say  go  for  HC  ........ruther  than  Glossostigma  as  a  carpet  plant....

Also  let  me  know  why  you  start  dislike  "Hydrocotyle  Tripartita"  !!

 Hi  Dev,

 Real  nice  scape.

 Some  comments  though,

Not  sure  about  the  left  stone  in  the  front,  seems  to  be  an  odd  one  out  ?

I  would  also  suggest  to  choose  staurogyne  carefully,  it  grows  to  a  little  taller  than  expected,  it  might  hide  those  stones  which  are  not  at  a  height.
Use  HC  cuba  instead,  and  only  fill  staurogyne  in  pockets  where  it  will  not  overpower  the  scape.

 Vivipara,  yes.
I  do  not  have  time  for  HC  Cuba.
Hydrocotyle  is  a  weed,  an  is  for  very  big  tanks  but  saying  that,  may  be  I  will  use  it  sparingly.

Abhishek,  thanks  for  the  feedback.  Staurogene  will  be  used  selectively  and  sparingly.  Hair  grass,  Moss,  Pinnatifida,  Bolitis?,  I  do  not  know.  Diandrum,  yes.  I  am  ranting  actually.  I  do  not  know  what  all  plants  can  be  used,  yes  Cladophora.  So,  you  guys  can  understand  that  I  am  having  no  clues  as  far  as  plants  are  concerned.  So  please  pour  in  with  your  suggestions.

Thank  you  Ruchit  and  Jabba.  Is  that  your  name,  Jabba?  These  rocks  are  called  Mars  Rocks.  It  comes  from  a  supplier.

I  would  plant  a  blyxa  japonica  dwarf  variety  if  you  can  get  in  the  left  back  corner  behind  the  stone.
Then  use  pinnatifada  behind  the  big  mountain  rocks,  use  something  which  does  not  take  away  anything  from  this  rock.
My  opinion  would  be  NOT  to  use  any  ludwigia  etc...  may  be  even  cyprus  helferi,  but  not  sure  about  it  due  to  the  size  of  the  tank.
Then  use  M  umbrosum  monte  carlo  variety,  as  it  is  a  creeping  one  in  the  middle  gaps.

Then  HC  cuba  as  the  foreground  and  a  little  bit  of  grass  on  the  right  back  corner.
If  the  progress  is  an  issue,  you  can  alternately  use  M  umbrosum  monte  carlo  variety

Staurogyne  I  would  only  use,  if  there  are  pockets  which  do  not  hide  any  stone  and  rises  above  the  foreground

Or  do  a  demo  plantation...   it  might  give  a  better  insight.
You  have  already  done  a  very  well  hardscape....  I  am  sure  your  plantaion  wont  be  off  the  road  Smile
