Hello friends
Finally I will be moving my household goods to Jaipur from Mumbai this saturday. While goods are being transported via road, we will be going to Jaipur by Jet lite flight on Sunday.
Problem , if I send my fishes along with truch, fishes will surely perish because of heat and 36 hours long journey. Booking thru air cargo is burning a hole in pocket as charges will be Rs 4000 plus. Also Jet is taking no gaurantee that fishes will go in same flight as ours.
Now only method left is taking fishes in checked in luggage. Has any body taken fishes in domestic flight in checked in luggage. Is it possible?? Any experience?? |

It is very much possible on domestic flights.
Check with the airline customer care. |

Just pack it well. Usually no questions asked. If they do just tell them those are your pets and your moving to diff city. Do not voluntarily inform them u have fish.
This is what I did while coming from Cal to Mum...
Gd luck... |

I had received shrimps from Pune to Bangalore.
See that there's a lot more air than water, pack them with proper cover n put them all in one box with paper n thermacol for protection. You can use air pockets if you find them. Check it in the airport I don't think they'll ask for so much cash if its livestock, it'll be few hundreds. It was 600 bucks for the livestock transfer from Pune to Bangalore. |

Mostly, They use to Scan the baggage. If they have doubt. They use to open the parcel. What if they not allowed to take them to the board.?
Mr.Sanjay, Have you inquired the Customer care peoples.? |
