Hi Everyone,
From the last 1 year am keeping a few oscar fishes.
Along with them brought 2 small wild fishes also from the LFS.( they said it was albino kadango)
Now that all of them are grown up - the 2 wild fishes were always fighting, so returned one to LFS. But now the other is disturbing the oscars.
Can anyone confirm the name of the wild fish in the pic below ? And also whether they are incompatible with Oscars ?

Hi,
Please remove the other chichild from your tank ASAP possible. They are called malwai chichilds and they are aggressive. I Did the same mistake . I kept Oscars with them and always they will hurt the Oscars.
Some tips for keeping Malwai chichilds:
1)Malwai chichilds should be kept in separate tank with lot of hiding places.
2)Always malwai chichilds should be kept in huge number . Keeping one or two will be always fighting
3)Dont mix malwai chichilds with american chichilds (Oscar is an american chichild)

Oscar can be kept with fish which are equal to or greater than it's size if it's a large tank. Only thing is, feed it well. Compatible fish with oscar are Plecos, Silver Dollars, Green Terrors (questionable), JD (again, questionable), and other similar large fish. Each oscar is unique and depends on how it reacts. If your Oscar is not chasing/harming the fish in your tank, no issues.
And one more thing from my experience with them in the past, when they get spooked, they run into the decorations in the tank. Best to remove them IMO.
Cheers,

Take the african out of the tank.
Having tank mates with Oscar is always like flipping a coin, it might work, it might not work.
A great deal depends upon the temperament of specific fish.
