I  first  thought  its  a  constipation  and  have  done  epsom  salt  and  pea  medications.

Is  there  anything  I  am  missing  ?  is  it  an  another  problem  ?

light  passes  through  swollen  area  like  a  crystal.  The  feces  is  thin  and  its  been  a  two  week  by  now.

is  everything  normal  ?  am  I  just  panicking  ?

I  am  no  expert  but  you  can  fast  him  for  few  days  till  the  swelling  comes  down...looks  like  you  have  done  peas  n  Epsom  salt  treatment.

 check  this  link  http://bettaessentials.wikispaces.com/Sick+Betta+-+Bloating+%26+Swelling

make  the  water  change  and  use  the  store  water  and  use  a  conditioner.
n  once  he  recovers  u  can  feed  him  good  quality  pellets.  Soak  the  pellet  for  few  secs  in  some  water  before  out  in  his  tank.

Your  Betta  seems  constipated.  Don't  feed  him  until  he  poops  out.  Upsom  salt  is  good.  You  fed  him  a  big  chunk  of  meat.  Make  it  smaller.

Don’t  panic  man.  Make  him  fast  for  few  days  and  he  will  be  alright.
Go  for  couple  of  days  at  the  min.
Patience  is  virtue  when  it  comes  to  hobby.

I  was  facing  a  rather  difficult  situation  with  a  rescued  betta  and  now  last  weeks  it  is  doing  fine.
You  got  Deepak’s  attention  to  this  and  I  am  sure  your  fish  will  be  ok  very  soon   Thumb Up
