 Hi,
 I  have  a  5  feet  tank  (112  Gallons).
 Housing..
 1  albino  oscar  (6")
 1  tiger  oscar  (4")
 1  green  terror  (5")
 1  convict
 2  raphael  cat  fish

I  got  the  tiger  recently  and  it  adjusted  really  well  to  the  tank.
It  was  eating  and  swimming  around  really  well.

After  a  week,  it  developed  ick.  I  added  salt  to  the  main  tank  and  increased  the  temp.
Things  seemed  to  be  back  to  normal.

Later  it  developed  symptoms  of  parasites.  Was  not  eating  and  having  white  stringy  poop.
So,  I  shifted  it  to  small  QT  tank,  increased  temp  and  started  treating  with  Metrogyl.
This  has  been  going  for  3  days.

Now,  I  dont  see  any  white  poop.
But  still  it  is  not  eating.
 Keeps  sitting  in  one  corner.
Its  tail  keeps  twitching  /   shivering  for  few  seconds  from  time  to  time.

So,  I  am  not  sure  if  it  is  still  ill.
Is  the  tail  twitching  some  sort  of  mating  behavior???  (It  seems  to  be  female  and  the  albino  seems  to  be  male.)

Please  provide  your  opinion  on  what  I  can  do???!!

 Regards,
 Kishore

A  112  gallon  tank,  and  you  have  no  quarantine  procedure?  New  fish  must  be  quarantined  for  at  least  8  days.  Only  fish  which  have  been  purchased  from  a  very  very  reliable  source,  where  fish  have  been  visibly  healthy  for  ages  may  be  introduced  without  quarantine,  and  then  too,  mostly  not.

Ich  in  the  main  tank  will  be  sure  to  affect  the  other  fish.

Also,  the  white  poop  has  been  explained  a  lot  in  this  forum.  Please  use  the  search  function.

I  do  have  a  quarantine  tank.  And  the  new  oscar  was  perfectly  fine  for  the  first  couple  of  weeks.

 The  ick  problem  is  fixed.
No  white  poop  also  for  past  2  days.

My  concern  is  only  this  now...  Does  anyone  know  if  this  is  illness  or  normal  behavior  ?

 It  is  not  eating.
 Keeps  sitting  in  one  corner.
Its  tail  keeps  twitching  /   shivering  for  few  seconds  from  time  to  time.

My  friend  treated  his  flowerhorn,  who  was  not  eating  for  some  days,  with  a  medicine  called  "tummy  wash".  Research  on  that.  The  tail  twitching  might  need  to  be  researched  further.

What  are  the  water  parameters?  If  there  is  something  wrong  with  the  fish's  environment,  they  do  not  eat,  and  oscars  are  known  to  be  quite  the  finicky  divas  of  the  aqua  world.
