|
|
Hi Guys
am using a ESAB single stage regulator on a 4.5 KG pressurised setup
Am having the output guage set at 5 ltr / min and a BPS of 3-4 connect to a NRV and then a ISTA MAX MIX reactor connected to EHEI 2217 Output
below are my queries
1. What should be the ideal output guage reading to have enough pressure for CO2 to pass thro the NRV and beat the EHEIM Flow and enter the reactor
2. I do not see any tiny bubbles also comming out of the EHEIM Outlet into the tank -- there by i am getting a feeling that the CO2 even at 3-4BPS is not entering the reactor at all due to EHEIM pressure
3. when i switch off the EHEIM am seeing the CO2 build up in the reactor -- this clarifies that NRV is not at fault here
my setup is ESAB - NEEDLVE VALVE SOLENOID combo ( 2 in 1 brass model) NRV - Rector - tank
kindly help
all these efforts cause my plants are suffering on BBA
I was earlier on a yamato regulator and using a power head to diffuse the CO2
Regards

This most probably means a leak in your CO2 equipment. Try doing a soap water test from cylinder valve till the CO2 enters water. EHEIM pressure is nothing, it should easily work.
Is your reactor outside the tank?
It could also mean that the reactor is dissolving so quickly when your filter is ON that you hardly are able to see it. But I would check with above concerns first. |

Thanks Saikumar
All the leak tests were done and nothing found.
The key is to have the output pressure set at 10Ltr/hr in the ESAB and things work like a charm. |

That is great to know!
How are you setting 10ltr/hr, are you saying off the bubble count? |

The ESAB output guage is calibrated as ltrs / hr
my BPS is at 3-4 |
