Andrew,  dont  know,  what  type  it  is,  but  i  purchased  it  from  a  guy,  who  makes  it  for  his  garden.  Actually,  wanted  to  opt  for  the  ADA  one,  but  it  was  way  too  costly  and  this  was  way  too  cheap,  and  looked  much  natural  to  me.  I  paid  200  and  got  these  two  big  ones.  And  the  smaller  ones  were  50,  so  got  4  of  them,  for  my  planted  tank.  They  are  not  very  heavy,  or  very  strong  like  the  boulder  pieces  used  for  foundation  of  buildings.  But  Strong  enough,  to  be  placed  in  the  tanks.  Definitely  worth  the  investment

Yes  rahul,  already  tried  it,  and  it  does  not  makes  the  water  dirty.  And  even  shrimps  and  tetras  are  ok  with  these.  Have  already  tried  and  tested  them  properly.  After  that  only  i  posted  here.

I  think  these  are  artificial  rocks  made  from  clay.  They  should  be  fine  for  the  tank  unless  they  start  to  break  down  after  being  submerged  for  a  while

deba,  once  if  the  shrimps  can  survive,  in  the  same  tank  where  it  is  placed,  then,  rest  of  the  fishes  can  also  survive  i  believe.  I  have  tried  it  with  red  cherry  shrimp  and  our  indian  shrimps.  Don't  have  any  other  strains,  so  only  tried  these  two  only.  yes  also  tried  to  keep  indian  glass  fish  and  chandi  fish  from  our  river  in  the  same  tank,  and  they  r  ok.  so  think  its  ok  type  and  safe.

hello  Mortis,  it  has  been  a  month  now,  &  has  not  broken,  unless,  i  try  to  press  the  edges  once  it  is  inside  the  water.  And  not  everything  breaks,  only  a  few  bits.  And  since  it  is  having  soil  contents,  then  definitely  it  would  be  an  advantage  over  the  other  ceramic  variations  available  in  the  market  for  any  planted  tank.   Though,  i  cannot  challenge  the  longevity  of  the  sharp  edges  protruding  from  the  body.  Depends  mainly  on  handling.

Chetan,  had  it  been  termite  mound,  the  moment  it  is  dropped  in  the  water,  it  would  have  got  destroyed  or  dissolved.  nothing  has   happened  as  of  now.  so  hope  for  the  best
