I have a 4FT X 20in X 2 ft height tank.
The fishes are
1 sevrum,
2 dollar
2 discuss.
I earlier has 1 serum and 2 dollars only but about 4 months back i added 2 discuss which were a little bigger than an inch.
After about 4 month 1 of them has become almost 2-2.5 inches in diameter but the other one is just about the same.
this one also stay at one place in between the driftwood.( probably it is scared).
What am i doing wrong?

@ Vikas,
Please check the compatibility of the three fishes that you are keeping together in a tank. |

Vikas, that's not a recommended combination of fishes. If you want to keep discus you'll have to select suitable tank mates else they'll not eat properly, will be bullied and ultimately die. This is a very small size of discus to buy. At that size you will need to do a lot of wc daily and special feeding to get good growth. Also they need to be kept in a group of at least 5-6 at that size. |

I did think about compatibility issues.
But one of the 2 discuss seem very happy and moves around the tank and is growing normally.
it just 1 that is kindoff stuck .
Compatibility issue with sevrum or dollar? they all don't seem to be fighting or running after each other.
Plus all of them except this 1 discuss come to the water surface to eat when fed. |

Discus are slow feeders compared to these fish. They'll not get sufficient food and hence not grow optimally in long run. Also as I said in this size they require frequent WCs for optimal growth. |

To add to what I said, discus have a very low tolerance to poor water quality unlike the other fish you've got. Also their immunity is not great, making them susceptible to diseases even when other fish seem fine. |
