With a built in overhead filter, does your tank really need a canister? Any particular reason why you want to add the canister?
And is your tank the ready made bow front tanks that we get? if yes then I don't think u can add a canister to it.

If you have space under the tank, my suggestion will be go for SUMP. that will cost the same amount as you canister. but it will have more filtration for your tank.

If you have the budget, then Eheim canister filters are the best. Why? Because you get spares easily. The spares are very costly, but atleast they are available on ebay and other sites. Eheim 2217 will be enough for your tank, I believe, it costs about 10xxx.
If you do not have an extreme budget, then go for sunsun canister filter, but ensure that the spares are available first. Fluval is another great brand, but the spares are not available AT ALL.
A sump is a great way to get awesome filtration, at the cost of an added complicated setup.
I myself had purchased a Fluval HOB filter, but since the spares were not available, I then went the canister way, and procured a used Eheim 2213. Be advised that if you go for a used filter, then you should ensure that all accessories such as the spray bar, pipes, inlet strainer, and double taps are all present, else you will end up spending a lot of money for these accessories.
